Art is Life 2008 Gala, March 10th at The Lighthouse

The Harlem School of the Arts’ annual benefit Art is Life 2008 will honor Actress Alfre Woodard and Deloitte LLP CEO Barry Salzberg, and will bestow the inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award on Legendary Mezzo Soprano Betty Allen, President Emeritus of HSA.

HSA Celebrates Black History Month

The Harlem School of the Arts is presenting an enormous variety of diverse programs, activities and special events, ranging from theater and dance presentations to an Open House with Radio Disney featuring performances by PStar and HSA students.

Theater Dept. Bridge Ensemble Presents New Play

My Choices, My Values, My Life,  a series of vignettes, monologues and poems that together examine the questions and choices young people often face in life, will be presented by the Harlem School of the Arts’ Bridge Ensemble (theater students ranging in age from 9-13).

HSA's 19th Annual Radiothon with WQXR 96.3FM

A live audience broadcast event on WQXR 96.3FM to benefitting the school; the Radiothon will feature WQXR radio hosts, celebrated performing artists, live performances by gifted HSA students and special guest interviews.

Prolepsis Art Exhibition

The Harlem School of the Arts unveils Prolepsis, the first group exhibition of works by HSA Teaching Artists, and introduces The G-Space Gallery, the newest contemporary gallery space in Harlem. In what promises to be an innovative and dynamic influence in both the Harlem arts community and the school, the G-Space Gallery at HSA will celebrate HSA’s role as both an institution of arts education, as well as an arts incubator.
