Music Department

Under the leadership of violist and music educator, Judith Insell, whose credits range from performing with major symphonies, Broadway shows, jazz masters and pop music
icons, the Music Department nurtures the desire within each student to express their emotional and intellectual powers, through the development of musical techniques and
listening skills.

HSA ’s Music Department offers a broad curriculum, including instruments of the orchestra, piano, guitar, percussion, voice, and ensemble classes. The philosophy of the Music Department is to prepare each individual to be a proficient musician, while fostering their creative spirit. With the support of our masterful teachers, each student will be able to focus on bringing their artistry to light.

Private Lessons are at the core of our curriculum, enabling the student to be exposed to the technique and musicianship of the HSA instructors committed to teaching, while retaining active performing careers. In addition to the weekly lesson, departmental recitals are presented throughout the year, providing an environment for players of all levels to perform for friends, family, and the community.
