Financial Aid

Four types of financial assistance available to HSA students:

1. Financial Aid
A limited number of partial tuition grants are available for students with demonstrated financial need. In order to be considered for aid, applicants must submit a completed Financial Aid form together with all required support documents. Financial Aid application forms are available in the Bursar’s office. Applicants must pay a $19 submission fee and wait three weeks for written notification of eligibility and availability of funds. Financial Aid forms must be picked up in person. The Deadline is extended until September 14, 2007.

Please remember that 50% of the total full tuition and 100% of all fees must be paid upon registration. A partial tuition grant, if awarded, will appear as a credit to the student’s account, reducing the student’s outstanding balance by the amount of the grant. Note: submitting a Financial Aid application does not guarantee that a tuition grant will be made by HSA.

2. Scholarships
Selected students are awarded merit-based scholarships annually. Awards are determined by audition and review before a scholarship committee. These scholarships are generally made without regard to financial need. Advanced students regardless of age are eligible. Students receiving
merit-based scholarships will receive official notification from HSA’s President/CEO. No scholarships may be credited at registration without the approval of HSA’s President/CEO.

3. Family Discounts
Families with more than one child attending HSA receive a 10% tuition discount for each additional child. The first registered child does not receive a discount.

4. Work-Study Grants
A limited number of work-study grants are available for parents, who may defray up to $200 of their child’s class tuition through administrative work at the school.
